Personal Microderm System Review

I am so excited to tell you about the (PMD) Personal Microderm. It is a personal microdermabrasion at home system that your able to use at home or anywhere! I know, now you don't have to spend hundreds of dollars, gas money, and time going to a salon or spa to get great looking skin.


Since being diagnosed with cancer my skin has gotten absolutely horrible. I have extreme acne, constant breakouts, enlarged pores and acne scarring. I am so embarrassed and self conscious about my skin that I have actually given up trying to conceal it because it makes it look ten times worse. I have tried many, many, many products(that is probably an understatement). I even went as far as getting on a high dose of anibiotics(they made me so sick but it was worth it to me if my skin would improve). I became depressed and had to be put on an antidepressant. I started to believe that I was just going to have to deal with my new; unflattering skin.

I was given the opportunity to review the Personal Microderm System and to tell you the truth I was on the fence. I didn't want to get my hopes up, thinking my skin would get better or even clear up. I had that hope before and wasn't ready for the extreme let down again.

The Personal Microderm System includes

1 Personal Microderm
6 Exfoliating discs(2 green-1 large, 1 small & 4 blue-2 large, 2 small)
2 Caps
1 Reusable filter
1 Instructional DVD & Sheet
*Before using the Personal Microderm System read all directions carefully and watch the instructional dvd.*

The exfoliating discs determine what type of 'abrasion' your going to get. The green exfoliating discs are more abrasive and are for tougher/thicker skin and the blue exfoliator discs are a finer grit more for sensitive skin. They also include large and small discs. The larger discs are for larger surface areas like the body and the smaller discs are for your face and neck.

Also included are two(2) caps(they go over the exfoliating discs)to help provide a barrier between your skin

and the exfoliating discs. There is one large for the large exfoliating discs and one small for the small exfoliating discs.

The Personal Microdem rotates the discs to remove the dead, dry skin from your face to make way for newer skin. It also has a vacuum type suction to bring the skin closer to the exfoliating discs as well as remove some of the dead skin cells.
Once you've decided on the type of disc is best for your skin type your going to pull your skin taught and upwards. You'll turn the PMD on and place it on your face going in an upward motion making sure not to stay in one place. If you keep it in one place too long it will start to go penetrate the dead skin and into your fresh new skin and cause a sore and scabbing. You'll start to see a white 'film' on your skin which is the dead skin cells being removed from your face(which is kind of nice-as you can see where you've already passed with the PMD). Once your done you'll wash your face again, dry well, apply the M2 Skin Moisturizer and then a SPF. The PMD is supposed to be used once every two weeks or less depending on how your skin reacts to the first use.


I found the PMD extremely easy to use and can't imagine my skin without it ever again. My skin hasn't felt this good in such a long time. I can see a big change in my skins texture, tone, pore size and color. I have had clearer skin just after the first couple of uses and am really excited to see the results with regular use.

The one drawback to the PMD are the M2 products that you have to buy seperately. It came with the M2 Skin Refinish 20% Serum and the M2 Skin Moisturizer for this review, but I only got a couple of uses out of them. I would aslo like to add that the PMD isn't just for acne prone skin but also for those with rosacea, wrinkles, sun spots, and uneven skin.

As we get older our skins elasticity isn't what it used to be. The skin becomes thinner and therefore loses it's moisture, starts to become dry, flaky and can even become itchy. It isn't something we should be embarrassed about but we often are.

The Dragon and Turtle Go on Safari

Padraig a dragon and his friend Roger a turtle, go on safari and are determined to spend the whole night out on Mount Sillymanborrow. They have a fun night planned with marshmallow roasting, eating baked bugs and making s’mores, but it wouldn’t be a safari without fun English accents and an imagination!

Throughout the night on their safari they run into some strange sounds that cause some alarm and adventure! An owl’s hoot becomes a howler monkey, swinging through the trees,. ‘What makes leaves rattle in the tippy top of a tree?‘ Rattling leaves high in the sky have to be caused by a giraffe. On Mount Sillymanborrow giraffes are the tallest. Sillymanborrow is the best place in the world to hunt for fierce and fantastic beasts.

They boys finally nestle inside of their tent for ‘just-in-case’ and prepare their voices for storytelling. Although Padraig wasn’t in the mood for a scary story he didn’t want to disappoint his friend so he asked if he would tell it to him tomorrow and his friend Roger thought it was a great idea so he could have all night to think about it. They snuggled into their sleeping bags to then hear another noise that sets them off onto another adventure. While they decide which animal is lurking outside of their tent Roger claims his friends a ‘professor,’ because he believes he’s an animal expert that must have gone to school for a long time to learn all about jungle beasts.

Between munching and figuring out which animal beasts are lurking outside their tent Padraig get’s a tummy ache and wishes he were home. His buddy reassures him that they shouldn’t give up and to lie down and rest. They end up falling asleep and are awoken suddenly by another strange animal’s noise. They are at it once again! They take the flashlight and are off to search for this mysterious animal who made the mysterious noise. Unfortunately the flashlight runs out of batteries and they are stranded in the dark with a beast on the loose. Padraig sucked in his breath and blew out a tiny flame and his friend is shocked to learn that he had such a talent. The flame went out but Roger encourages him to do it again; they find their beast and return to their tent. They wonder if morning will ever come and make the decision to head home. They left their items up on mount Sillymanbarrow and Padraig wonders why they had done so, Roger said it was another day and he still had to tell him his story….

This book isn’t just about two friends on a safari, it is the strength that they each have and the faith that they have in each other. It encourages not only Roger and Padraig to be strong, courageous and over come fear but for your child to be strong and brave. It's also an opportunity for parents to teach their children to overcome some of their fears and be brave like Roger and Padraig. Even though they were hyped for their 'safari' they had fears but made the best of them with each other and their imaginations! Mom's and kids alike will love reading this book together!

I liked the book The Dragon and the Turtle Go On Safari because I thought it was cool. It was full of adventure, and showed how friends can help each other and stick together. My favorite part was when they heard a noise from an owl and they decided it was a howler monkey. I liked that they turned a simple noise from a specific animal into something that their imaginations wanted it to be. The book also makes me want to be strong, courageous and not afraid.

Dapper Snappers Review

I took Chucky to the Dr. today for his 'Well Child Visit' and I was pleasently surprised to find that my preemie is in the 75th percential for his height and the 58th percential for his weight.

We were sent the Original Dapper Snapper in navy. I figured it would blend well with his jeans. They were although they didn't quit fit in the back(the belt loops were too far apart) they did fit on the sides and were still able to adjust his pants to fit his waist. He said that you couldn't even tell that it was on his pants and his pants stayed put all day. That is awesome for a mom who is annoyed with their child constantly pulling their pants up in the back!!

Community Christmas...

When I think of stop motion animation and claymation, I think of classics like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town. When figures made out of clay were shot pose by pose and frame by frame without the help of computers. A lot has changed since then but one thing remains the same-'the spirit of Christmas'.

On Thursday, December 9th at 8:00 pm ET/7pm CST NBC and the "Community" a smart comedy series about a band of misfits attending Greendale Community College starring Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Yvette Nicole Brown, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Donald Glover, Ken Jeong and Chevy Chase are bringing the spirit of not only stop motion animation and claymation to life but also the 'spirit of Christmas."

Overview:
'As the group sits around in study group a school official is announcing on a ghetto blaster that while it is a "Special Time of Year," their school does not acknowledge any "Special Time of Year." While they do have a Constitutional Right to participate in any type of celebration of their choosing it has to be done so in 'designated holiday zones.'
Abed(a Muslim) has always been a fan of Christmas and thinks that 'This year Christmas is going to be the most important Christmas in the history of Christmas.' Abed then points out that they are stop motion animated the others are in denial and disbelief. While the group thinks that Abed has gone 'crazy' and ask what they can do to help him in his 'situation.' Abed then thinks the reason he and the others have been turn into stop motion animation is to find the real reason of Christmas. While the others try to convince him that he is delusional they lie to him to get him into a group therapy session with the dean and undergo 'Christmasnosis.' The group along with their psych professor(a Christmas Wizard)descend to 'Christmasnosis' and unto 'Planet Abed' where the group is transformed into Christmas versions of themselves. Jeff-in-the-box, Troy Soldier, Britta Bot, Teddy Pierce, BellarAnnie and Baby doll Shirley.
The group continues to amuse Abed while on a journey through a wonderland in his mind to find the meaning of Christmas. They not only embark on this journey with Abed but end up finding out more about themselves and the 'Spirit of Christmas' then they imagined.
The show contains some *Adult Content* so I wouldn't recommend it for children.

I am not only excited to see the show in all of it's entirety but can not wait to see how the stop motion has transformed 'Community' into a clay mation-stop motion animation musical! It is sarcastic, funny, hypocritical, touching and yet still keeps with the spirit of the season. It also gives us the perspective of people who otherwise don't celebrate or celebrate differently and how they are willing to go on a mission to discover why the 'Spirit of the Season' exists and have their friends a long with all of their exaggerated life experiences for the ride!

Make Dish Time 'Sniff Time' {Giveaway}

I don't know about you but I DESPISE doing the dishes. I have a dishwasher but it's just me and Chucky so why put the few dishes that we have into the dishwasher? Well there is now a good reason for me to at like doing the dishes....it's Gain for dishes! Gain now has dish soap! YAY now we get that great smelling scent while doing dishes. I hope Gain will start making car freshners, house sprays and such to keep with the great clean smell that we know and love!

I was sent the original scent and was a bit skeptical that it would smell as good as the Gain laundry detergent. Right away I opened the top and it smells exactly the same! I loaded up my sink full of dishes and added just a pinch of the dish washing liquid and was surprised that it suds up just like other dish washing liquids(but smells better). I washed not only our usual, forks, spoons, cups etc. but I also added in some greasy pots, pans and glass dishware that had baked on crusty stuff. It didn't make the dishes feel as though they still had 'dish soap' on them, it was 'squeeky' clean. Seriously 'squeeky' I ran my finger across it and it squeaked. So I didn't feel as tough I was there rinsing for a long time and the baked on crust... came off without having to do a lot of scrubbing!

In my review of the program, it was easy to use, I was able to see the instructor and converse with the class when needed. The curriculum is based on your child and your child's needs. In all it was very easy to navigate and operate.
 
Whether your child is doing good in school or struggles, it's nice to know that there is a place to  go to get the help that you need for your child and their education.

Tru Cherry... Cheribundi Review

Okay, I have to say that I was a bit skeptical when I was asked to review Cheribundi.

The day that Cheribundi arrived on my doorstep, I couldn't get it into he refrigerator fast enough! I stuck it into the spot on the door that makes it super cold super fast and Chucky was still asking me every 5 minutes, "Is it cold yet?" "I will let you know when it is cold okay!"
I poured Chucky a little in a cup{because I didn't want him to waste it.} He drank it down so fast and when he asked for more I was pleasantly suprised.
I took a sip at first, thinking it was going to be really tart, almost bitter. It was very delicous, with the right amount of cherry taste, zing and sweetness.

Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate with Peanut Butter Filling Squares

I received a sample of Ghirardelli's creamy milk chocolate squares filled with  peanut butter and perfectly roasted crunchy peanuts from She Speaks.

We are one of very few American manufacturers that make chocolate starting from the cocoa bean through to finished products. Throughout the process, we take special steps to ensure that our premium chocolate delivers our signature intense, smooth-melting chocolate taste.

    The Ghirardelli Difference

•Intensive quality assurance in the selection of cocoa beans means that Ghirardelli accepts only the highest-quality beans. We reject as many as 40% of the beans that are offered to us. Beans that are not selected are sold to other manufacturers.

•In all of its chocolate product, Ghirardelli uses a proprietary blend of cocoa beans that has been refined over the company's 150-year history to provide the company's distinct and intense chocolate taste.

•Ghirardelli roasts the cocoa beans in-house to ensure the company's signature flavor profile is consistently maintained in all chocolate products. We also use a different roasting process whereby we remove the shell first and then roast the small nibs inside. Because the nibs are fairly uniform in size, we have more control over the temperature and time, so we can get a more specific flavor. Other companies roast their beans before removing the shell, which requires over-roasting the outside portion of the bean in order to roast the inside. This could impart a burned flavor to their chocolate.

•Finally, Ghirardelli uses an intensive refining process to ensure that its chocolate truly melts in your mouth! Ghirardelli has no grainy feel because we refine most of our chocolate flakes until they are 19 microns (human hair is 100 microns in diameter). Other mass market chocolates are refined to only 40 microns.
 
* What I liked:
- I liked the creamy milk chocolate
- I liked the peanut butter filling
- I liked the crunch peanuts
- It melts in your mouth
 
*What I didn't like:
- There wasn't enough:p
 
- It melts in your mouth!

- It has just enough peanut butter filling.
- It is not over loaded with roasted crunchy peanuts.
- It is finger licking good:p


Do you know when chocolate is not of good quality and it leaves a bad after taste in your mouth?
Well that WILL NOT happen with Ghirardelli's chocolate!

Refreshing... Aquafresh iso-active WHITENING Toothpaste

WOW! Aquafresh iso-active WHITENING Toothpaste is absolutely amazing. When you put it on your toothbrush, it seems as though it is just a regular toothpaste- until you put it in your mouth and start brushing. The Aquafresh iso-active Toothpaste turns into a rich frothy foam! At first it doesn't feel like you are getting a good clean because it doesn't burn your mouth like other toothpastes. When I was done brushing I could feel just how clean that my teeth were; the freshness was great, it lasted all day. The one thing that I would suggest when using the Auqafresh iso-active WHITENIG Toothpaste is to go light on the paste, because it is a rich frothy foam.
