Today is my second Etsy Feature. I hope that if you the shops that I am featuring, that you would leave a comment here and over at the featured Etsy Shop, they like to know that we what they do!!
I was going to do a feature everyday, but have decided to do it once a week because of health reasons.

Now on to the Etsy Feature:

                                           Sweet Tea Dresses

Spring is right around the corner.

I first came across Sweet Tea Dresses on Twitter. She makes some of the most beautiful dresses. I can see them being worn throughout the seasons. Without further a do I give you Tammy from Sweet Tea Dresses.

How long have you had your shop?
I started my Etsy shop last fall ... so not very long ago. I sell mostly to people locally, here in Baton Rouge and have dresses in a couple of shops here in town. A friend suggested that I set up an Etsy shop and here we are today! When we sell locally, we get to know the people that we sell to. That's a very nice aspect ... I'm pleased that Etsy offers the abiltiy to "convo" with buyers. That's an important part to me.

What inspires you?
Several years ago, I took a beginner's quilting class. I've always had a love of quilts and beautiful fabric. Because of the quilting background, I value good quality, techincally solid construction and beautiful fabric. When people look at the inside of my dresses, I've been told that the inside looks as good as the outside! This type of quality in children's clothing is not something that I see a lot out in the marketplace.

How do you choose the fabric that you use?
Do you have a favorite fabric/designer?
As for fabrics that are appealng to me ... I tend to like traditional little girls dresses that are somewhat conservative, but I really love some of the more contemporary fabrics too! I love many of the damask style prints, and am a big fan of toille! Currently, in my Etsy shop, I have several damask prints and one toile fabric! Here's a little inside secret ... I'm currently searching for spring and summer toille prints for the toille lovers out there!

What else should we know about you, your dresses and your shop?
Another love of mine, is vintgage linens. I've always had an affinity for pretty vintage pillowcases! Over the past few months, I've collected several dozen and am ready to start listing some of them on Etsy. One is currently listed, but in the next few days, I plan to list a few more! I will probably show the pillowcase on Etsy with a couple of sample vintage pillowcase dress pictures, but because these pillowcases are so valuable, and many times, one of a kind, I won't make the dress until the size is ordered! They're perfect for spring and summer and make great little dresses! But, they also make adorable shirts for older girls with capri's or jeans! I have to be honest though .... some of these pillowcases are very hard for me to part with! I love them all!

What's new, what's coming, what should we look out for?
As for other thinks to look for in the future ... I also have an affinnity for pretty aprons from designer fabric ... maybe in the future Mommie and Me designer fabric aprons!

Quilting and now dressmaking has brought great joy to me and I'm always so pleased to see that others enjoy the dresses too!

Tammy has so many other beautiful dresses in her Etsy shop, so go take a look you just might find the perfect Easter dress for your little girl!!

Wouldn't this be perfect for a Baptisim or Cristianing?

Thank you so much Tammy for sharing your beautiful dresses and shop with us!!

*I was not compensated in anyway for this post, I am just sharing my favorite shops.*
