SunglassReplicas.com Review & Giveaway

**CLOSED**
I find it hard to get a pair of sunglasses that are not only affordable but cute on and off your face! There is a site that not only has sunglasses for women and sunglasses for men but they are cute and affordable. SunglassReplicas.com also offers celebrity sunglasses so if you saw your favorite celeb in a magazine and loved their sunglasses you can now get them at a fraction of the price!
Big Square Vintage Sunglasses
I found these cute ones on their site and wasn't quiet sure how they would look on but they are fabulous! I love them so much that I forgot I was wearing them and kept going into the store with them on my eyes! They aren't heavy and don't hurt the bridge of my nose or the tops of my ears like some sunglasses do.
They are really big and kind of remind me of Jackie O!
I put them on for the first time and Chucky pointed and said, 'Hey your wearing your Diva Glasses!'  I said, 'What?' He said, 'Your glasses have a D and a G on the sides, so they are your Diva Glasses!' I took them off and looked and saw that they had a D & G on the side of them. It isn't too large and isn't too small.

SunglassReplicas.com may have cheap sunglasses but they aren't cheap in their durability and design factor!

Thank you to SunglassReplicas.com for providing me the opportunity to review a pair of awesome sunglasses!

One Ma21cuteboy reader will win a pair of their own sunglasses!

Sewing...

so i got sewing lessons for my birthday and haven't been able to take the lessons yet because of my treatments and school and life and kids and well ya know. so i was on the same street as the shop where i am supposed to take my sewing lessons and figure i would stop in and see what day and time would work best for teacher. as i am walking in the door i see a sign that says CLOSING just like that in all capitol letters and my heart drops into my stomach as i try and imagine taking lessons from a women who's shop is closing. i go inside and the lady that is in there is busy so i just started looking around and notice there are signs all over that say everything in the store is 50% off so i start grabbing fabrics, notions, trims, zippers, interfacing basically anything i could get my hands on. i got in line and when it was my turn i asked the lady about the sewing lessons that are paid and if i could still get them. she tells me that she probably won't be doing anything of the sort until the end of February or beginning of march. i am a little sad to hear this as i am ready to get busy. yet i understand that she can't keep a store open just because i have sewing lessons. so i gathered a few yards of fabric-nothing special all of the good stuff was picked over but i figure i am a beginner and don't want to ruin the 'good' fabric on a  messed up project!

i was surfing the net and found an amazing giveaway at lila tueller that i just have to enter because i have been teaching myself to sew via the internet and youtube videos and need some of the fabulous fabric for a project that i am going to be doing really soon.....a baby quilt for a special baby!!!
if you want to enter to win just head on over here.

Dapper Snappers Review

I took Chucky to the Dr. today for his 'Well Child Visit' and I was pleasently surprised to find that my preemie is in the 75th percential for his height and the 58th percential for his weight.
While I am excited that he is going to be tall because I am a shorty and while it's grown on me I hate shopping for pants and really can't wear those cute boots that go up to my knees.
Okay enough about me back to Chucky. While he is tall he doesn't have the weight to keep his pants on.

That's where Dapper Snappers comes in. While I am trying to buy Chucky's jeans to fit him in the length the don't always fit him in the waist. Yeah you can buy pants that have the the elastic built in but then the pants have an 'elastic waist' look and I personally don't like that especially on my little boy
They are an amazing mom invented product for not only kids but adults. They can be customized to fit you and your pants needs and you don't have to undo a belt all of the time.
What is are Dapper Snappers?
It is an 'adjustable belt.' To a point! It is a stretchable fabric with multiple built in snaps that can be customized to fit your child's pants comfortably. They come in many different colors so you can blend them in with their clothes or accessorize them to the outfit.

How do Dapper Snappers work?
Simply slip the ends through the back belt loops on any pair of pants and snap to the correct size! The Dapper Snapper makes any pair of pants with belt loops into adjustable waist pants. And now with Dapper Snappers Clips, you can use Dapper Snappers on pants without belt loops! Extend your child’s wardrobe and save with a Dapper Snapper! It’s perfect for potty training toddlers; no bunched up fabric near the button or snap and zipper so it’s easier for little fingers to take care of business. With Dapper Snappers, you can Fix Droopy Drawers in a Snap!

Dapper Snappers are:
•Affordable
•Versatile in a wide range of colors for girls belts and boys belts
•Recommended for ages 9 mo-6 yrs and One Size Fits All
•Perfect for kids who are in between sizes or wearing hand-me-downs!
•Convenient – no need to remove for diaper changes & doesn’t impede potty training
•Made in the USA
•Mom-invented
•Compliant with CPSIA regulations. http://www.DapperSnappers.com/safety

We were sent the Original Dapper Snapper in navy. I figured it would blend well with his jeans. They were although they didn't quit fit in the back(the belt loops were too far apart) they did fit on the sides and were still able to adjust his pants to fit his waist. He said that you couldn't even tell that it was on his pants and his pants stayed put all day. That is awesome for a mom who is annoyed with their child constantly pulling their pants up in the back!!

Dapper Snappers are reasonably priced and as you can see can grow with your child and the awesome thing about Dapper Snappers is that they are not only for children! Yep, adults can use Dapper Snappers too!

*Disclosure: I was provided with the above said product to facilitate this review. No other compensation was received. Thanks to Dapper Snappers for providing the complimentary item for review. This post was written for the Family Review Network.

A Boy & His Friend....

We have lived in the same house since Chucky was a baby and have gone through a lot of neighbors. When the neighbor right across the street moved in she was a little older and doesn't have any children. We quickly befriended her. Soon after she moved in, she moved her aging parents in with her and that's where it all began....

During the summer her father was outside inside his garage all of the time. One day I saw Chucky walking across the street with an Otter Pop. I watched as he walked inside of the garage and handed the neighbor the Popsicle. I was touched that my son was a thoughtful lil' boy; worried he was in the way of this man doing whatever it was he was doing in his garage. I walked across the street to see a cute old man talking to my son, not being bothered that his work in his garage was being interrupted by a boy. I apologized for my son bothering him and taking up his time and he replied, 'He is not bothering me, he made my day.' I chuckled to myself and thought, 'He made your day?' I then asked Chucky to introduce himself, my son turned around shook his hand and said, 'It's really nice to meet you, my name is Chucky.' The elderly man replied, 'Nice to meet you Chucky, my name is Richard King.' My son then said, 'It's nice to meet you Mr. King!' He replied, 'Mr. King was my fathers name call me Richard.' Chucky turned around and said, 'okay it's nice to meet you Mr. Richard!'

Day after day my son would go over there to hang out with Mr. Richard. I felt horrible that my son kept bothering this man while he was out there trying to enjoy his life-in peace no less. I walked across the street and his daughter met me at the beginning of the driveway and right away I started to apologize for Chucky being over there everyday and bothering them especially her dad. She said that he wasn't bothering them at all and as a matter of fact her dad enjoyed having him come over. I was a little shocked to hear that come out of her mouth and yet wondering what they were doing out there. I walked into the garage and got my answer. My son loved going over to hang out with Mr. Richard because there were amazing paintings, furniture, toys and other inventions throughout the garage. Mr. Richard was a prolific artist, he took up water coloring in his 70's(self-taught). He invented hundreds of products and games and built many pieces of furniture. This is where it gets a little interesting even though he was in his late 80's I realized he wasn't an 'old man.' He was a kid at heart! He started kayaking when he was 60, bought his first computer at 78 and 89 when he decided it was time to get a cell phone. He enjoyed reading books and ultimately bought a Kindle.

Chucky would be outside selling snow cones. Wouldn't get a single customer until Mr. Richard came out to check the mail. He bought one even though he had diabetes and sat and talked out in the blazing heat until he finished his conversation and his snow cone. He came out when Chucky learned to ride his bike and was just as proud of him as I was, clapping and cheering him on. He would come out and watch him do his fireworks on the Fourth of July and laugh hysterically at him laughing at the way the lights looked on the houses across the street. You can say that they were friends, they looked out for each other and when one of them didn't see each other for a while one would go over to the others' house to see if everything was alright. They exchanged gifts, letters, smiles and waves.

Ann(his daughter) came over right before Christmas with an annual ham and chocolate chip cookies to thank Chucky for shoveling the snow and bringing up the garbage can on Thursday's. She informed me that her mom still has her good days and bad days but that Mr. Richard wasn't doing very good. I let Chucky know that Mr. Richard wasn't feeling so well; he headed straight over to see for himself what was going on. In Mr. Richard fashion he got up and 'entertained' my son with his stories of his trip to Hawaii for his 90th birthday, his latest paintings and plans for his next invention. Chucky came home and said that Mr. Richard is doing great, he was making plans for his next invention, he did a new painting and that they made plans to hang out in a few days.

Tuesday morning there was a knock at the front door, it was Ann. She came to inform us that Mr. Richard had died in his sleep on Friday from congestive heart failure. It was extremely hard for me to keep my composure in her time of need as she explained that she was the one that found him, that her mom is having a hard time with it and isn't making any sense with her Alzheimer's. My heart was in the pit of my stomach and the only thing I kept thinking about was, 'How am I going to tell Chucky that his friend has died?' Chucky has dealt with a lot of death in his short life(Great Grandma Shirley died and my friend from middle school lost two of her boys in a flash flood, one's body still hasn't been found and a few others) I didn't want to have to tell him again that another one of his friends has died.

As I waited for Chucky to come home from school, I tried to plan how I was going to tell him and when the time came for me to tell him word for word what I had planned to say, I couldn't. He asked me if Mr. Richard came out to check his mail yet and as he waited for my reply he said in a panic, 'What's wrong with Mr. Richard mom?" I had tears in my eyes by this time and Chucky just started to sob. 'Why do people have to die mom?' 'Why does God have to take them when they aren't ready to go yet?' I grabbed him and hugged him, he held me so tight and just cried.

Chucky asked me to take him to the store so he could pick out a card for the King Family and he picked out a great card and wrote this on the inside of the card:

Dear King Family,
I am sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Richard. Even though there was an age difference he was my friend, we understood each other. I remember bringing him Otter Pops when he was working in the garage and running home from school to see what he was working on or waving from across the street. He was an amazing man and I am grateful and thankful that I got to know him.
Kindly,
Chucky

Mr. Richard didn't want a memorial service, he donated his body to the University of Utah so they could further their advances in medical technology, he painted one last portrait and read his last book on his Kindle.
He is going to be missed dearly by not only his family but by ours as well.

                                  In Memory of Mr. Richard

Isn't It Amazing?

When me, my older sister and two younger brothers were little we did some crazy things; so I always ask my mom, 'Isn't it amazing that we're still alive?'
We lived in a small yet growing neighborhood. The houses weren't developed across the street yet and it was covered in dirt and had some hills of dirt that were almost like a motorcycle track. It was dubbed 'The Hills.' We would put plywood onto cinder blocks and make our own ramps then go through the whole track jumping and flying through hill after hill. It was a blast! Right before you get into 'The Hills' there is a little bit of gravel and we would pull into the gravel really fast and slam on our brakes to make skid marks. I was on my brothers old BMX bike, this little bike was fast and it wasn't but 4-5 feet off the ground, so I was pedaling and pedaling, I was going extremely fast when I hit the gravel I slammed on my brakes and instead of making skid marks with my bike tires I made skid marks with my leg. I skid all the way through the gravel up onto the sidewalk on my left leg. I tried to stand up but couldn't walk, my left leg went numb from the pain. The neighbor Tidge made an emergency lift out of a piece of cardboard tied to his bike. I rolled on top of the cardboard and he dragged me across the street to my house. My brother opened the door to get my mom and you could hear her hollering at us not to come into the house that she was cleaning(That's a whole other story-stay tuned!). My brother hollered back, 'Coy got hurt and we need your help!' She came outside and started to freak out at all of the blood and gravel in my leg. I said it's okay, I just need to ge it cleaned up so  can get back outside.
My mom wasn't really squeamish unless there was blood.

source
I am going to be posting many more 'Isn't It Amazing' posts and hope you'll love them just as much as I love the memories! Do you have any 'Isn't It Amazing' stories from when you were little or with your kids? Let me know, I want to hear em!

Anybody Else Ready for Spring?!

Although it doesn't feel or look like spring will be here anytime soon. I am itching to go on a picnic! Whether or not it's outdoors, I am going to need a cute picnic basket!
While searching for cute picnic baskets I happened upon a website that is not only practical but they sell amazing essentials for picnics, barbeque's as well as bbq sets.

If your not ready for a picnic or a barbeque just yet, you may want to upgrade some essentials for your home. With the holiday's ending we did a lot of prepping and cutting so our cutting boards may need to be replaced. It's not often we think of improving or replacing these items but they are too often overlooked and neglected.

BuildASign.com Review

I live in a pretty nice ever growing neighborhood and find it frustrating that people can NOT find my house! I live on the main road coming into the neighborhood and even have a beautiful green street sign in my yard and still everyone from the pizza guy, UPS man to family, friends and the mail lady can't find our house! I have to wait by the window and flash the light on & off to let them know where we are. I hate it because not only do I have to wait for them which they are not always on time but when we have the neighbors calling me to come and get the mail that is just a little to frustrating for me.

Luckily I was provided an opportunity from BuildASign.com to review a sign for my yard!
I went to the website and was shocked to find the assortment of signs that they offer. I went straight to the yard signs and didn't quiet find what I was looking for but was delighted to find out that I was able to customize it to my liking! Yep they make customizable signs! Whatever you can imagine they can create!
I chose an aluminum yard sign in khaki with black writing that states: 'Welcome The Aguayo's with our address right below it! It is double sided as well; so no matter which way I put it everyone will be able to see it. I haven't been able to put it out in the yard because of the snow but as soon as it starts to melt you bet I am going to be out there putting it in the yard!

Better. Easier. Faster.

Our signs are printed on high quality materials with some of the most advanced printing equipment available. Our design tool lets you design your own custom signs, even upload your own images. You can get your signs delivered as soon as tomorrow.

BuildASign.com offers many different signs from birthday banners, graduation banners, wedding banners, for sale signs, for rent signs, american flags, garden flags, bumper stickers, military flags, magnetic signs, sign holders, real estate signs, vinyl decals, neon signs and many other types of items in many different sizes.

So whether you own a buisness, a home or need a sign, visit BuildASign.com to get your signs done professionaly, fast and beautiful!

Purex Complete Crystals Review + Giveaway{{3 Winners}}

**CLOSED**
I don't know if I've told you I absolutely l-o-v-e doing laundry! I love pulling the clothes out of the dryer and smelling them so clean and fresh. There is nothing better than climbing into a bed with freshly laundered linens! I have now passed this on to Chucky, he will hear the dryer stop and yell for me to go and get his blankets. I will bring them up and put them on top of him; he will say, 'Oooo mama, they feel and smell so good!'

I was recently chosen to be a Purex Insider which means that I get to help spread the word about the Purex® family of laundry products. As an Insider, I receive sample product and incentives in exchange for participating in brand related activities.

On December, 28th Purex launched an entirely different, unique, amazing product that will still give you the same results of a product you are used to.

What is it?
Unique Crystal Form, 92% Natural Fabric Softener.

Introducing Purex® Complete Crystals SoftenerTM*; a purer way to get laundry that
smells clean and fresh for weeks. 92% natural, this product’s unique crystal form works
differently than traditional oil-based softeners that coat fabrics with oily residue, because
it infuses fibers with long-lasting fragrance. In addition, since you add it directly with your
laundry, this means no more waiting for the rinse cycle, no messy residual gunk in your
washing machine, and no more stains from spilling liquid fabric softener.

How to use it:
Add with laundry at the start of the wash cycle.

Why struggle with plastic fabric softener balls, risk staining your clothes or waste time
waiting for the rinse cycle? Simply add Purex Complete Crystals Softener directly with
your laundry at the beginning of every wash cycle to infuse fabrics with long lasting
freshness.

How it works:

Crystals dissolve infusing fabrics with freshness.

Laundry scent lovers will perk up as freshness is infused into clothes with this new fabric
softener. Over time, traditional oil-based softeners coat fibers causing harmful oily
residue to accumulate. Purex Complete Crystals Softeners penetrate fabrics to reduce
fiber entanglement and smooth frayed fibers providing a naturally soft feel.

Why it's different:

Safe for all laundry and better for fabrics.

Do ALL of your laundry—worry free! Purex Complete Crystals Softeners are safe for
all laundry and will not harm, wear down or discolor your fabrics like oil-based softeners.
Safe for all fabrics, including baby clothes, athletic wear, towels, and whites. Unlike other
softeners, Crystals WILL:
• Preserve the flame retardant benefits of your children’s clothes
• Retain your athletic wear’s wicking ability which draws sweat away from your body
• Maintain your towels’ built-in ability to absorb water
• Keep your white clothing from yellowing and graying vs. using traditional softeners
The product won’t harm your clothes and is safe and convenient for the entire family!

It comes in 3 delightful scents, Fresh Spring Waters(the one I received), Lavender Blossom and Tropical Splash.
It is also safe to use in standard and High Efficiency(HE) washers.

'You smell so good and look so beautiful unfortunately I have to dump you into the laundry.' The crystals were easy to use and it was actually very nice not to have to run down to the washer and try to catch it in time to add my fabric softener! I pulled the laundry out and put the clothes into the dryer and was expecting the lovely smell to be gone once the clothes were dry and to my surprise they smelled just as good as when I put them in! It's been a week and the clothes that have been ironed, the towels and linens still smell absolutely divine!
Look for it on a shelf near you!

What erks you?

I know that we all have something that absolutely positively gets to you...erks you!
You know when you just can't take it anymore and you just go on a rampage and start freaking out on anyone who is within touching distance. It happens to me all of the time and I was just wondering what it is that erks you and how do you deal with it?

I usually love the Holiday's people, even if they are in a bad mood will say it or even say it back when you tell them "Happy Holiday's," "Have a Merry Christmas," "Happy New Year," "Happy Hanuka," (I think you get my drift). So when I went to the store during the 'Holiday's' I was in a good mood going into the store and then a crazy lady by the time I left!

I live in a small town and this particular store has to accommodate 8 to 10 cities/towns. So when people from another town come over to said store and you haven't seen them in a long time of course you want to chat and see how the fam is doing and so on and so forth; but when it comes to people who just want to run in and get what they need and get the heck out it doesn't work and they act like they are at their house entertaining them! They stand right in the small aisle and act like your in their way. I start to go down the aisle and one of them will see me and just continue to talk, I say 'excuse me,' and they look at me like I am an alien with one big eye and fifty arms. I say it again, 'excuse me,' they just ignore me this time like we saw the alien and we are over it. This time I just take my cart and act like they aren't there and say, 'excuse you!' Then they want to move out of the way and talk about me like I am not there. I can't stand it and it erks me! I told them why don't you go into the attached eatery, get a drink and talk to your friends? They can't seem to understand that this is a place to shop and I totally get when you see someone that you haven't seen in a long time but c'mon when I say excuse me more then once and you don't move you deserve more then a cart in your achilles!

New Year: New Resoulutions? New Disappointments?

It's a whole bright shiny not yet tarnished NEW YEAR! I am going to let you in on a little secret...I don't do resolutions! What the heck is a resolution anyway?

res·o·lu·tion   /ËŒrÉ›zəˈluʃən/

[rez-uh-loo-shuhn] –noun
1. a formal expression of opinion or intention made, usually after voting, by a formal organization, a legislature, a club, or other group. Compare concurrent resolution, joint resolution.
2. a resolve or determination: to make a firm resolution to do something.
3. the act of resolving or determining upon an action or course of action, method, procedure, etc.
4. the mental state or quality of being resolved or resolute; firmness of purpose.
5. the act or process of resolving or separating into constituent or elementary parts.
6. the resulting state.
7. Optics . the act, process, or capability of distinguishing between two separate but adjacent objects or sources of light or between two nearly equal wavelengths. Compare resolving power.
8. a solution, accommodation, or settling of a problem, controversy, etc.
9. Music .
a. the progression of a voice part or of the harmony as a whole from a dissonance to a consonance.
b. the tone or chord to which a dissonance is resolved.
10. reduction to a simpler form; conversion.
11. Medicine/Medical . the reduction or disappearance of a swelling or inflammation without suppuration.
12. the degree of sharpness of a computer-generated image as measured by the number of dots per linear inch in a hard-copy printout or the number of pixels across and down on a display screen.

I think that we should try to be better people at what we do everyday and work on it everyday. I can't remember what I did yesterday let alone what my 'resolution' was for this past year{get my drift?}. I understand wanting to be a better you but what is wrong with the original you? People who do it{resolutions} and stick to it-GOOD FOR YOU!! I just know & see a lot of people who are always talking resolution this resolution that and then I see them smoking a cigarette or eating a cheeseburger and dessert. I think sometimes people are unrealistic when it comes to their resolutions. If you want to loose weight & aim for 20 pounds I don't know if your going to succeed, so try for 5 and if you do it go for 5 more, if your going to work out don't shoot for 7 days a week shoot for 3 don't try and build yourself up for a fail. 'I didn't work out 7 days this week so I guess I will just stop working out!'

With myself I have never worried about weight or working out- I will exercise and watch what I eat{that pie looked delish before I ate it!} and when I walked to the garbage can to throw away the pie tin I brought along my pedometer! I don't get caught up in the small stuff, with having cancer I learned what and what not to get all riled up about and it isn't going to be that I didn't work out or I ate a piece of pie with a billion calories! It's going to be look what me and Chucky did today, we had a blast today and I hope he remembers all of these fun times like I am going to cherish them! So when you look and reflect on your life as a whole this new bright shiny untarnished new year, remember that your family isn't going to remember if you didn't work out or enjoy the dessert but they will remember you enjoying the dessert with them laughing and being you with your family!!

From my happily imperfect family Happy New Year!!
