I was just sitting here thinking to myself, "what am I going to do with all of this lace?" I have a great idea and I don't know if anyone would be interested but I am going to give it a shot.
I have all of this lace, and someone might have a lot of something else, so why not trade?
If anybody would like to trade some of my lace for something of yours email me or leave me a comment. Maybe we can find some cool stuff out there in blogland that you can't find anywhere:) If you are interested in trading "stuff" just leave a link of it with a picture and a discription:) I will try to get a Mclinky up ASAP if it all goes well:)

Cyber Monday.....
I have never done the "Cyber Monday" thing, but this year I will definately be doing it! Chucky is getting older and the things on his wishlist are getting harder and harder to find, or are so expensive:{ I have been doing my homework on some of the things that he is asking for and I think I am more confused now than when I had no idea what they were and trying to picture it 8}
Are any of you experienced in, or going to try the "Cyber Monday" thing? If you are a "regular" I couldprobably Definately use any/all advice:)
I know one thing is for sure: "Cyber Monday" is safer than "Black Friday" :)
Have a great day!!
BTW I am looking for a RCA Small Wonder HD Camcorder(the newest version). If anyone has any knowledge in this I could really really use it!!!

Lace It With.....
Lace of course! I went to my local thrift store and found a bag of lace, I thought that when I got it home and opened it up, that it would contain a little of this and a little of that. I was so suprised when I opened up the little bag and pulled out 2 yards of lace, 8 yards of lace, another 8 yards of lace, another 8 yards of lace, I won;t bore you with all of the other yardage that I pulled out, so I will just show you the pictures. Oh yeah, I only paid 2 Dollars for the whole bag!!! I also bought 2.5 yards of black rayon, spandex fabric for 1 Dollar, and a green purse that I am going to tear up and use the parts for 1 Dollar. As you can tell I am very proud of my findings. On to the pics-
The picture above the green bag is all of the lace that I got in my bag seperated and wrapped up ready to do some great things with, if I can figure out what I am going to do with all of it, I do have some projects planned for some of it, but not all of it. Any ideas anyone????

A fellow blogger and her family are in need right now. Anissa Mayhew is 35 years old, a wife (Peter) and a mother to 1 boy and 2 girls. She has suffered 2 strokes in one day, is in the hospital, and needs our prayers. Her and her husband have been through a lot, their youngest child has leukemia. If you live near her and her family and could help out in some way- (her husband is going to be putting up a sign up sheet on the blog pretty soon for people to offer some help) and if you don't live nearby, they could definately use your prayers! Even if you don't know/follow Anissa' blog, you can leave an uplifting and encourageing message of hope and prayers for her and her family, as well as check for updates.

Refreshing... Aquafresh iso-active WHITENING Toothpaste
WOW! Aquafresh iso-active WHITENING Toothpaste is absolutely amazing. When you put it on your toothbrush, it seems as though it is just a regular toothpaste- until you put it in your mouth and start brushing. The Aquafresh iso-active Toothpaste turns into a rich frothy foam! At first it doesn't feel like you are getting a good clean because it doesn't burn your mouth like other toothpastes. When I was done brushing I could feel just how clean that my teeth were; the freshness was great, it lasted all day. The one thing that I would suggest when using the Auqafresh iso-active WHITENIG Toothpaste is to go light on the paste, because it is a rich frothy foam.

UNITE
UNITE
Ten years ago September 30th 1999, I was pregnant with my first child, a boy. I went to my doctor appointment, I was being seen every week (this was the start of my first week) because my stomach was measuring smaller and smaller. The night before my appointment I felt really different, I couldn't sleep, I thought I was hungry, I thought I had to use the restroom, I thought I was just restless, so I took a shower and decided to get ready for the appointment.
I showed up at the doctors office and he did the regular, weighed me, took a urine sample, measured me, and that's when he decided to do a sonogram. It was a lot different from other sonograms that I had gotten, he didn't point out his head, hands, fingers, toes, or his heart. All of the sudden he stopped the sonogram and asked me to get dressed and meet him in his office. I was really really scared. I met him in his office and that's when he told me that he couldn't find my son's head, it was in the birth canal; he was coming out. My stomach was shrinking and since there was no room for my son to grow, the amniotic sac couldn't grow and wasn't producing enough amniotic fluid for my son to grow and move he got stressed and decided that he needed to come out. The doctor told me that I needed to go over to our local hospital and wait for Lifeflight to take me to another hospital where they would be able to handle a "small" baby. I asked how small and he was not able to tell me. I went to my local hospital where they had put me and the baby on monitors while we waited for Lifeflight to arrive. Luckily Lifeflight got backed up and I had to go via ambulance. The EMT's arrived and we headed out; an hour and a half later I arrived at the hospital. The baby and myself were put on monitors; nurses were running in and out of the room frantically when all of the sudden the anesthesiologist came in and asked me to hunch over the bed so he could give me an epideral, I was so scared and just wanted answers to what was going on and what was going to happen. He then explained to me that my son's heart stopped and that they needed to do an emergency cesaren section. I complied with the anesthesiologist and got the epideral. I was wheeled into the operating room; the doctor started to poke my feet to see if I was numb, but I wasn't. He said that we would wait a minute or two and see but if I wasn't numb then he would have to start. Well I wasn't numb when he started to cut me from one side to the other. It seemed like forever before they had gotten him out. Finally I heard "It's a boy!" The nurse brought in over quickly and let me kiss him on the forehead before they whisked him away to a team of specialist standing by.
I got to see a picture of him that one of the nurse' was kind enough to take for me, I still didn't know how small he was or how he was doing. Midnight, October 1st was when I got to see my son for the first time. He was so small, he weighed 2 pound 4.5 ounces and he was 15 inches long. I was so scared for him, luckily when he was born he was breathing on his own, yet by the time I got to see him he was on a ventilator and on a waterbed (which those of you have had a preemie know that, that is not good). I felt so guilty that I, his mom couldn't protect him and bring him into this world healthy. He sstayed in the hospital for one month and one day. I got to bring my "big" guy home at 3 pounds, he was able to eat on his own and keep his body temperature. Yet I was not able to breastfeed because he wouldn't latch on, luckily the hospital that I gave birth to him at had a room for me to pump and store my breast milk.
Thank God that the hospital that I gave birth to him in was great about me staying accross the street in a house that is for people who don't live close, so I was able to walk back and forth across the street to feed him, bathe him, hold him, and be his mom!
Chucky is now ten years old, he is doing exceptional. He does have physical disabilities, learning disablilities, asthma, and other health problems. I just Thank God that he doesn't have anyother disabilities that come from being a preemie.
I will never know why or what happened in my situation, but I hope by telling the story of what happened with my son and I, that people will help the March of Dimes to figure out a "cure"(cause) and stop other families from having to go through this painful process that is supposed to be one of the happiest times in their life.

Hip Bag!
I saw this really cool bag somewhere, but I couldn't remember where, so I typed in "belt bag" and what do you know I found them!!!! The place that sells them is called Happy Cow Belts " Belts and Bags for People on the Go" "their a company in Austrailia; yes I know it sounds funny but they have some really awesome "bags" that are on a belt and you wear them on your hip. NO it is NOT a fanny pack (but they do carry those too).
Leather Hip Bags - A Practical & Fashionable Atlernative To Carrying A Bag
This Happy Cow bestseller provides a discreet, highly practical way to carry all your valuables and keep your hands free at the same time. This designer belt bag is the newest addition to our range and is designed to fit through normal belt loops.
The Hip Bag is one of the most popular belts in our range for a good reason; it provides plenty of storage space without appearing bulky. This belt is designed to sit snug against your thigh and expand when you have a lot of things to take out with you. This is the fashionable belt that is similar to Fiona's Fanny Pack on Burn Notice!
Each Happy Cow product is made from high-quality leather that has been sourced (as excess) from large furniture manufacturers. There are three major benefits of sourcing our leather in this way:
1. Less Pressure on the Environment - by only using recycled leather, we do not contribute to the demand for mass-breeding of farm animals. The United Nations website states that the mass-breeding of livestock is one of the major contributors to global warming.
2. No Unnecessary Suffering - By using what would otherwise be thrown away, we are able to avoid the unnecessary suffering of animals for the sake of human comfort. Animals are made to suffer too often for very superfluous reasons. Just because animals cannot be heard, doesn't mean they do not have the right to a peaceful life.
3. Cost Savings - By using recycled leather we are able to purchase our raw materials at a much cheaper price than if we were purchasing it directly from the tannery. Where else can you get fashionable, handmade, genuine leather items for less than $100?
If I could afford one I would be all over it, but I am a POOR college student, a single mom, and oh yeah I have doctor's appointments almost 2 hours from my house. But why not pass on the cool find:) You can join their blog here.

Out In The Cold Thanksgiving
Tanksgiving is in 11 days. I have not gotten any of the things that I need to get done, done. I have not even gotten my shopping done for my Thanksgiving dinner:( In the mean time, I taught myself how to knit, embroider, and to paint some cute pictures for family and friends. Yet all of my "projects" don't look as though they are good enough to be given as gifts. I see all of these blogs where other really really Talanted women make these awesome things and mine don't look even half as good. I really want to give these "made with love" projects to my family and friends but not at the expense of being the person who gives "ugly" gifts. I want them to know how hard that I have worked on these and that I really wanted to make them look as beautiful as they deserve, but how do you do that when you know that when you give these gifts that they will only be brought out when I am around(if they don't throw them away). I think that if the shoe was on the other foot, I would think that the gift was made with blood, sweat, and tears love. I just hope that I am over reacting and that it will all turn out great! In my defense, I did say that I just taught myself to do these things:)
I hope that all of your preperations are going better then mine and since I am not such a party pooper and that I can still smile behind all of this PAIN. I have a cute printable thanksgiving coloring page for you here.

Please Unite with me, the March of Dimes and all of the others who have a preemie or know of someone who had or is/was a preemie that have joined in the fight to stop premature births. Click on the Unite Fight For Preemies/March of Dimes button on my right sidebar to join in the fight, to get more information, or to donate. I look forward to seeing you all there fighting on November 17th.

*Basketball Star*
Yesterday "Chucky" and I had to go to Wal-Mart when I got home from school.(Which he was none to happy about). So I asked him to put his shoes back on so we could go, he was taking a while getting his shoes so I asked him if he was done yet that we needed to hurry so I could make dinner and help him with his homework before we had to go to basketball try outs and he hollars back that he was coming, when he walked down the stairs, I couldn't help but chuckle he had his basketball jersey on. He was so excited about try outs that he wanted to wear it to school too, but I wouldn't let him, so he wore it to the store. You have to understand how excited he was when he got this jersey, he came home after signing up for "Junior Jazz" wearing the jersey and screaming in excitement at the top of his lungs, "Mom, I am home, and I got a jersey and it is repositionable", I turned around and seen that had it on; he's showing me that it is repositionable (reversable) but that he liked it on the white side, not the navy blue side. So after him rambling on and on about his jersey and tryouts he said that he had to go and practice so that he would be the #1 pick! LOL When he was done practicing, he asked me some questions: "What is double-dribble, and traveling"? I had no idea,(I played softball and volleyball) so I tried to explain to him what I thought that they were.Boy was I so wrong! So it was time to go to basketball tryouts. I didn't go:( But there is a reason. Papa kept telling "Chucky" to hurry and we couldn't figure out why he was all over mine and "Chucky's" case to hurry and cook, eat, do homework, and get dressed. It was about 15 minutes before "Chucky" had to be there and Papa came in wearing his jacket and shoes; saying "hurry or we are going to be late". That's when "Chucky" said "I don't want you to take me, I want my mom to take me". If you could have seen the look on Papa's face it would have made you feel bad too, so "Chucky" told Papa that he could take him and that I would take him next time.
When tryouts were over,"Chucky" walked in his face red and his hairline sweaty; "I did so good mom"! He told me all of the drills that they did and that he did "REALLY REALLY good, Papa affirmed what "Chucky" had said: He did really good and he will find out on Friday who is coach is and on what days he will be playing.
So stay tuned for pictures of "Chucky", my basketball star in his repositionable jersey
